Users of the Totana Daytime services celebrated yesterday the Grandfather's Day, which is celebrated each year coinciding with the feast of San Joaquin and Santa Ana, by participating in planned activities of coexistence and brotherhood.
These were held in the auditorium of the Municipal Center for Older Persons and were attended by the first deputy mayor, Juan José Cánovas, and the Councilor for Older Persons, Antonia Camacho.
The professionals and relatives of the users accompanied in the activities that were programmed, and in which the majors could be honored.
El Día del Abuelo is a commemorative day dedicated to the elders of the family, which complements the Day of the Madrey to the Father's Day, whose day is celebrated only in some countries, especially in the Ibero-American countries.
It was chosen on July 26, as it is the day on which laliturgiacatóliccommemorates San Joaquín and Santa Ana, parents of the Virgin Maríay, therefore, grandparents of Jesus.
