The XXVII Band Festival "City of Totana" will take place tonight on the occasion of the program of cultural activities of the patron saint festivals of Santiago, recovering an initiative that was not celebrated since 2011 and organized by the Totana Music Group.
The festival will feature the participation of three bands of music, and admission is free.
The participating groups are the Music Band Association of Molina de Segura, the Musical Association "Maestro Eugenio Calderón" of Mazarrón and the host of the Band of the Musical Group of Totana.
The festival starts this afternoon at 20:00 hours with a parade of participating bands that will depart from the Plaza de la Constitución and will tour different urban roads of the city center;
And the concert will be held at 9:00 pm, in the auditorium of the municipal park "Marcos Ortiz", in which each band will intervene for approximately half an hour each.
This is an initiative that has sought to recover the new board of directors of the Totana Musical Group coinciding with the celebration of the patron saint festivities in Santiago, since the event was held uninterrupted between 1985 and 2011, and since then has not Took place.
The festival also has the collaboration of the Conservatory of Music "Narciso Yepes" Lorca and the Federation of Music Bands of the Region of Murcia.
