The Mayor of Totana, Andrés García, accompanied by the Councilor for Town Planning, Carlos Ballester, recently visited the construction of the argárica housing replica built in the La Bastida site under the collaboration agreement signed several months ago with the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB).
The municipal authorities have verified how the execution of the same are, already in their final phase;
And have learned from the hands of the researchers the construction process and the didactic plans that agglutinate the program of visits for after the summer, once they finish the proceedings.
The replica of the new argaric house will boost this archaeological site and enable visitors to better understand the Bronze Age lifestyle, which can be visited once the final project is completed.
This initiative will make it possible to spread the life forms of argaric culture and to provide the educational community that visits the park with a better understanding of this prehistoric society of the Bronze Age.
The Consistory totanero has been working for some time with the UAB Prehistory Department in the development of research in the field of El Argar culture, so that this action will help the general public to experience what life was like in this era.
This educational and museum performance was carried out under the scientific and professional coverage of the 'Bastida Project', led by a research team from the Department of Prehistory of the UAB, led by Professors Vicente Lull, Rafael Micó, Cristina Rihuete and Roberto Risch.
The initiative will allow, as soon as visits are authorized, a resource for museum, educational and educational purposes, located at the foot of the northern slope of the hill of La Bastida, in areas that are sterile from the archaeological point of view and municipal property.
The City of Totana undertook under this agreement to collaborate with 31,000 euros.
