The Mayor of Totana, Andrés García Cánovas, today formally requested a first institutional meeting with the presidents of the Autonomous Community and the Regional Assembly, Fernando López Miras and Rosa Peñalver, in order to address issues of general interest that affect this municipality .
The mayor also asked for an appointment with the different councilors of the regional government in order to review in detail in the coming weeks the main projects involving both administrations.
Andrés García has indicated to all of them that "the collaboration between administrations will allow us to promote as many projects as possible in the next years to improve the quality of life of the citizens of Totana."
The councilor intends to initiate a first round of contacts with all those responsible for the regional Executive during this summer, as well as with those responsible for some autonomous agencies and entities of the different administrations in the Region, such as the Commonwealth of Canals del Taibilla, the Confederación Hidrográfica Del Segura, among others.
The mayor recalled that it is going to be "demanding and insistent" with the Autonomous Community and has stated that "it is not time for great works, nor the general situation, nor much less the one of our Town Hall. Infrastructures that are not used ".
In this regard, he stated that "my commitment will be placed, among many other issues, in the West Ring," whose infrastructure has insisted "because you have to close the belt that began with the north variant, which brought so many benefits";
And has announced "all the efforts" to promote the rehabilitation of the neighborhoods San José and the High Era.
He also insisted that he will "fight" with the Autonomous Community to fulfill its commitment to finance 1.2 million euros in three years to improve the supply networks to make the Municipal Water Service profitable.
Finally, it has been put in contact and available to the spokesmen of the different parliamentary groups in the Regional Assembly after the recent inauguration.
