Good morning and many thanks to all the people who accompany us in this extraordinary plenary session, in which he takes office as Mayor, Andrés García Cánovas, and especially the mayors, mayors, deputies and deputies, and of course, thank our Secretary General, Rafael González Tovar.
An extraordinary plenary that is tremendously emotional and symbolic for me, for my municipal group and, above all, for my party, for the SOCIALIST PARTY SPANISH WORKER.
Starting today, we have a Socialist Mayor in Totana, a mayor who I know will live up to the circumstances and I want to say that he will have all the support and collaboration of his Municipal Group, so that these two years are Of fruitful work and in which the results of the dedication and effort of each one of us is reflected in the totaneros and totaneras.
We are in the middle of the legislature, we have had many sacrifices for two years, sacrifices that have even been transferred to our personal and family lives, but we do not regret it for a single second, because despite the difficulties it is experiencing Our Town Hall and of course, our town, we begin to see the fruit, the fruit of constancy and the desire to solve the problems.
For all the achievements to date, we thank the outgoing mayor, thank you very much Juan José.
We presented ourselves to the elections with a government program under the title of "A decent, transparent and austere government to revive the economy and order the territory in the service of progress, social welfare and the quality of life of people."
During these two years this has been our goal, and in the next two years, with the help of our government colleagues, and with the new impetus given by our new mayor, we will continue to work and move forward with the same objective, Decency, transparency and austerity, in order to improve social welfare, employability and the quality of life of people.
To achieve all this, we will continue and intensify, if possible, efforts in the areas of government that depend directly on our councilors, improve coordination and communication with other areas of the city council, we will continue with the containment of debt, The optimization of spending, as well as the modernization and optimization of services to citizens.
I would like to emphasize, two pillars that I consider to be fundamental, the first one, the collective of public employees of the City of Totana, who are the engine of municipal management and in which we trust fully for their vocation to the public service and because we know that without their Professionalism, we politicians do little or nothing.
The second of these pillars, is the citizenship, the neighbors and neighbors of Totana, without them our days of work do not make sense, they are the voice that should guide our political project, they help us to improve and redirect us if we are mistaken.
We must not forget, dear companions, that we must continue to listen to them as we have done so far.
On the other hand, to point out that the current government team has been loyal to the institutions and that we therefore demand that this loyalty be reciprocal, loyalty that we will demand, especially the Autonomous Community, with which we will be ruthless in the fulfillment of their commitments With totaneros and totaneras.
We will not accept, for a moment, that Totana continues to be one of the municipalities undervalued and harmed by the Regional Government, both in the elaboration and in the execution of regional budgets.
My last words are for our government colleagues, I would like to tell them that we must work side by side, so that in these two years that we have the legislature, we can fulfill the commitments acquired in our government programs and agreements, demonstrating The neighbors of Totana that a leftist government is a decent, dialogic, transparent, honest and austere government.
