Representatives of the Totana Reading Club attend the "II Meeting of Reading Clubs of the Region of Murcia" held last Saturday in Mazarrón, and in which Isabel Román, librarian of the Municipal Library "Mateo García" and coordinator of the club of Reading totanero, carried out a paper in which it explained what has been the evolution of the club of reading from its origin and until the date.
Mazarrón hosted this Saturday the II Meeting of Reading Clubs of the Network of Libraries of the Region.
Approximately 90 readers from all over the Community carried out a day of coexistence that included a visit with panoramic views of the Bay of Mazarron and a meeting with the writer Luis Leante.
The director general of Cultural Heritage, Juan Antonio Lorca, and the Councilor for Culture of the City of Mazarrón, Pedro Martinez, were in charge of inaugurating the day, in which were present, Isabel Román, librarian and coordinator of the reading club. The Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Environment, through the Regional Library, coordinates and provides books to 258 reading clubs in the Region of Murcia.

Three of them are taught in the Regional Library and 82 correspond to municipal public libraries.
