The Local Police of Totana has arrested during the last days a total of nine people for crimes against traffic safety and against public health, respectively, within the framework of the special campaign on control of the rate of alcohol and presence of drugs In drivers, which has been carried out in this municipality from 5 to 11 June promoted by the DGT.
Of these nine people, five were arrested for a crime against traffic safety while the remaining four were arrested for a crime against public health.
During this time, Local Police agents have carried out twenty control points in different parts of the urban area, where more than 150 drivers have been inspected.
Of the five arrested for traffic safety offenses, three were for exceeding the alcohol limit and two for driving with the withdrawal of the driving license by judicial sentence;
In addition to opening an administrative file for exceeding the limit of 0.25.
In one of these controls, and along with a Civil Guard patrol of Totana's station, a suspicious vehicle was registered, resulting in the apprehension of various amounts of marijuana and cocaine.
Also, in the same control, were seized utensils used for the sale of drug, reason why, also, were arrested four people for an alleged crime against public health, that were put at the disposal of the Civil Guard, along with the substances And the seized material, which continued with timely expeditions.
