A group of users and professionals of the Day Center for Persons with Psychic Disability "José Moyá" conducted a guided visit to the Catholic University of Murcia (UCAM) last week.
During the visit they were attended and guided at all times by professionals of the Catholic University of Murcia, who were directing the visit and explaining to the attendees the different departments and places of the campus.
The course started in the University's auditorium, and then they were able to get to know the different pavilions, including the one that houses the Occupational Therapy Classroom, since the center receives every year students in this discipline.
During the course students and professionals enjoyed two remarkable and endearing moments.
One of those moments was during the visit to the Medicine Simulation Classroom, where students of nursing and medicine practice their practices with materials that simulate real-life situations.
The explanation of this room was carried out by a student of the "Capacita Program" program for the socio-labor inclusion of people with disabilities.
The other special moment was when students and professionals visited the studios and the recording studio of radio and television of the Faculty of Journalism, where they were able to practice and feel the stars of communication, participating in the realization of a program as presenters even cameras of TV.
At the end of the day the students of the Day Center "José Moyá" delivered to the professionals of the Catholic University some gifts made in the center and were placed for an upcoming meeting, perhaps in Totana.
From the center they want to thank the professionals of the UCAM for their collaboration and kindness, making possible this visit that has allowed the professionals of the Day Center "José Moyá" to work important therapeutic areas such as communication, social participation and integration, Social skills and community utilization.
