Totana will host until next April 7 the itinerant photographic exhibition "Cuida-T" with which officially closes the program of events organized this month on the occasion of the International Women's Day by the Department of Equality, and whose sample has been Provided by the General Directorate for Women.
The exhibition will be able to visit, from 17:00 to 21:00 hours, the first days in the Reading Center "José María Munuera y Abadía", located next to the children's school "Pepita López Gandía" in the urbanization "El Parral" ;
And the last five days will be transferred to the Sociocultural Center "La Cárcel".
The exhibition was inaugurated by the Councilor for Youth, Inmaculada Blázquez, replacing the mayor of Equality, Eulalia Moreno;
And will be visited during these days by students of the different schools of the municipality of Totana.
The sample includes the photography work done by girls belonging to the group of adolescents of the Center for Care of Victims of Violence (CAVI) Mar Menor.
The authors participated in the 'Program of prevention and intervention in affective relationships in the courtship with young adolescents' that develops since 2011.
The initiative emerged from the participants after several work sessions on the importance of self-care and the good relationship with themselves.
The talks dealt with the different forms of harm resulting from a toxic relationship such as eating disorders, drug use, self-harm, emotional dependence and the 'love myth', among others, as well as the different ways of taking care of these situations .
The initial proposal was 'Why do not we use the body that we damage and mistreat to launch messages of self-care and good treatment?', So they use snapshots in which the girls themselves are the protagonists.
The workshop where the works that are now exposed were developed at 'Imagina San Javier' during the month of April last year, a festival aimed at young artists in the artistic field.
The exhibition fulfills a double objective, on the one hand, artistic, as a way of visibilizar situations that are framed within their daily experiences and, on the other hand, therapeutic for the young that have been able to see inside situations toxic, of physical and psychological mistreatment .
