The City of Totana has agreed to sign a collaboration agreement with the University of Murcia (UMU) to collaborate in the training of totaneros students in foreign universities during the course 2016/17.
The Local Government Board has recently approved the proposal of Councilor for Education, Eulalia Moreno, which includes the collaboration agreement with the provision of complementary financial aid to the general calls for scholarships to improve the conditions of study of young people who are Foreign universities.
UMU participates in different student exchange programs with other foreign universities, such as Erasmus (Europe), ISEM (United States) and ILA (Latin America), among others.
The Consistory totanero will collaborate with an economic amount of 30 euros per month as an aid to the expenses of students stay in the university where they study.
The number will be reviewed annually in each academic year for each student selected per month of stay abroad.
The UMU, once the selection of students, according to the rules established by the mobility programs, will communicate to the City Council the number and length of stay of the same in the foreign universities.
