On Wednesday, March 1, the Intermunicipal Futsal, Basketball and Handball Sports School Phase, organized by the General Directorate of Sports of the Region of Murcia, was completed, with the participation of eight teams totaneros, belonging to the centers of Teaching of Juan de la Cierva, Prado Mayor and Reina Sofía.
In this intermunicipal phase, the municipalities of Alhama, Águilas, Librilla, Mazarrón and Totana participated in the group 1, and where the champion team of each one of the sports modalities has obtained the classification for the Regional Quarterfinals.
In the Futsal mode, the male children's team of the IES Juan de la Cierva participated;
And the teams cadet male, juvenile male and female juvenile IES Prado Mayor.
The IES Juan de la Cierva male team managed to win their first semi-final against IES Miguel Hernandez, but in the final of this phase fell defeated against IES Domingo Valdivieso de Mazarrón.
On the other hand, the male cadets and boys of the IES Prado Mayor were defeated in the semifinals against IES Miguel Hernández de Alhama and IESO de Librilla respectively.
Finally, the IES Prado Mayor women's youth team lost their match in the penalty shoot-out against IES Europa de Águilas.
As for Basketball, the women's teams of the Colegio Reina Sofia and male cadet of the IES Prado Mayor participated, which were eliminated in front of IES Europa de Aguilas and IES Miguel Hernández de Alhama respectively.
Finally, in the modality of Handball, the male children's teams of the Reina Sofia and male cadet of the IES Prado Mayor participated, which lost their respective encounters against the IES Felipe II de Mazarrón.
