On Saturday, March 18, the Church of Santiago El Mayor de Totana, at 8:00 pm, will host a concert by the Band of Music of the San Juan Evangelista Brotherhood of Totana, on the occasion of its 25th anniversary.
In the same, will be released two unpublished works, one of them, composed by the component of the Band of Music of San Juan, D. Hilario Antonio Aznar Sánchez.
The Banda was formed in 1992, on the initiative of the board of directors of the Brotherhood of "San Juan Evangelista", with which it participates in the processions of Holy Week of Totana from its foundation to the present time.
In 2004 he collaborates with other musical groups of Totana in the recording of a commemorative CD of the Holy Week of Totana.
In November of 2010 participates in the Concert commemorating the 30th anniversary of the Musical Group of Totana.
In March 2012 he recorded a full CD of processional works of Holy Week, in the framework of a live concert and in March 2013 again performed a processional works concert in Totana and Librilla.
After that it is decided to continue with the preparation of repertoire on a regular basis throughout the year.
The result of this is the realization of a Summer Concert, in July of 2013, in which it obtains a great success of public.
In January 2014, he performs a New Year's concert in the Hall of the Milagrosa College, repeated in the neighboring town of Aledo, with a repertoire different from that of Easter but with an indisputable quality.
The number of its components has grown considerably and it is very important to highlight the close collaboration between all its members, both those who are engaged in a non-professional way and those who are finishing their musical studies.
