The Association of Parents of Persons with Intellectual Disabilities of Totana, PADISITO wants to congratulate the Federation of Peñas del Carnaval de Totana, for the resounding success of the Carnival of Totana this year 2017. Success has resulted in the number of people who did Use of the stands that were installed on Calle Puente to see the different carnival parades, both the local Peñas, the children's parade and finally the foreign peñas.
From PADISITO we are very grateful that the Federation of Carnival Clubs of our town, with its president Antonio in front, have thought of the group of people with intellectual disabilities and their families by giving for the second year the management of the stands of the carnival to our Association and whose funds will be earmarked directly to improve the quality of life of our collective, through different initiatives such as Socio-Sanitary Care Programs at home, Family Respite Programs, Socio-Cultural Programs, Leisure and Leisure, Or Summer Camps.
The first parade, celebrated on February 25, was the one that had the most influx of public, around 350 people who made use of the stands installed.
The March 4 parade also had a large influx of around 300 people who made use of the stands in this occasion, the same number practically as in the children's parade, which increased its audience in the stands significantly in respect The previous year.
Once again, we would like to thank the Federation of Carnival Clubs for their solidarity with the most vulnerable groups in our town, as well as congratulate and encourage them to continue their excellent management of Totana's carnivals, which are culturally enriching our people.
