Our children and young people have enjoyed Carnival with a costume party, where they have made their own fantasy masks.
In addition, they have participated in a makeup workshop where they have been able to get into the skin of various animals and characters.
The minors have shown great enthusiasm in carrying out these activities, and the good atmosphere and fun have also accompanied us.
These classrooms carry out school support and educational leisure activities in the evenings and currently have the participation of 80 children and more than 55 families in the municipalities of Totana and Mazarrón.
They are framed in the "Project of Socio-educational Intervention with Families and Minors in Situation of Social Disadvantage in the Region of Bajo Guadalentín", subsidized by the Counseling of Family and Equality of Opportunities of the CARM and supported by the Town councils of Totana and Mazarrón.
This project, which has been carried out in Totana since October 2014 and this year has increased its scope of action in the municipality of Mazarrón, arises in response to the needs detected by various families for the Collective El Candil and the demands received from several Municipal entities, including schools and Social Services.
It has as main objective the adequate attention of the minors and to give coverage of the vital necessities for an optimal development.
In addition, priority is given to the creation of support groups in which parents promote parental responsibility for the education of minors.
