The main objective of the motion presented by the Municpal Popular Group is the support of the City Council of Totana to the Association "Save the Archive of Salamanca", with the presence of its president in plenary, so that the documentation that by law Must remain in that file.
During the celebration of the ordinary session of the month of February, at the proposal of the Municipal People's Group, a motion was unanimously approved for the City Council of Totana to support the association "SAVE THE ARCHIVE OF SALAMANCA" in order that To return the documents that are found and unduly retained by the Catalan Generality.
During the discussion of the motion both Mr. Alcalde and the spokesmen of the other political groups thanked the presence of the person of Policarpo Sánchez, president of the association "SAVE THE ARCHIVE OF SALAMANCA" during the plenary session, Salamanca to Totana, knowing that the motion was to be discussed in order to thank the initiative and commitment of the City of Totana.
The General Archive of the Spanish Civil War, is a documentary archive located in the city of Salamanca, owned by the state, created in 1999 and is currently integrated into the Documentary Center of Historical Memory, under the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport.
It was created from the Civil War Section of the National Historical Archive, during the war, to store all the documentation that was not taken or destroyed at the end of it.
At present it is a documentary source of great value for historians, and has even served as a fundamental pillar of information to request pensions or indemnifications.

In short, we are facing an important Historical Documentary Heritage, which reflects and unveils unpublished aspects of the work and cultural activity of the Region of Murcia.
During the press conference held before the holding of the plenary by the Spokesperson of the Municipal People's Group and the President of the Association explained first hand the work and effort that the Association does to ensure the Spanish cultural and historical heritage .
