The Directorate General of Sports, under the Ministry of Culture and Portavocía, will allocate 200,000 euros this year to the program of repairs and improvements of sports facilities of the municipalities of the Region of Murcia.
As explained during his visit to Totana, the call for these grants will be published in April and is scheduled to be resolved after the summer so that municipalities can benefit.
As a preliminary step to the opening of this process, the Director General of Sports is making scheduled visits to all municipalities in the Region to know 'in situ' the use, state and maintenance of all municipal sports facilities and verify that Meets the criteria of rationality, economy efficiency and balance and are suitable for public use, as indicated by the legislation.
Today was the turn of the municipalities of Aledo and Totana, where he visited the Sports Pavilion "Manolo Ibáñez", the Municipal Sports Center "6 de Diciembre", the Sports City "Valverde Reina" and the Sports Complex "Valle del Guadalentín", in The Paretón.
Gómez added that "it is planned to finalize these visits within a period of about two months, since 50% of the municipalities have already been exceeded and only 15 remain pending, and from April onwards the municipalities themselves will be present, with the presentation Of their applications, projects and reports, which may attend the aid we offer from the Directorate General.
