The four municipal groups request that economic items destined to equality policies and fight against gender violence be returned to levels at least similar to those of 2010 (22/02/2017)

The four municipal political groups with institutional representation have raised a joint motion to be discussed at the regular plenary meeting in February, coinciding with the celebration of the International Women's Day, which is commemorated on 8 March. In the motion, among other demands, request to return the economic items for equality policies and fight against gender violence to levels at least similar to those of 2010, as well as to recover the Institute for Women in the Region Of Murcia as body responsible for coordinating and implementing equality policies in this autonomous community.

In addition, it is proposed that the Equality Observatory for the Region of Murcia, as provided for in Law 7/2007 of 4 April, for Equality between Women and Men, and Protection against Gender Violence in the Region Of Murcia.

Likewise, it is requested the provision of permanent finalist grants to municipalities with more than 20,000 inhabitants who have no equal agent and to municipalities with regional competencies to recruit agents in this area;

The joint proposal suggests the elaboration of a Basic Services and Social Benefits Portfolio that guarantees the integral assistance of women victims of gender violence, as well as their daughters and children and guarantees the attention to women with specific problems.

It is also proposed to develop a Regulation to develop the articles of the Equality Law of the Region of Murcia 7/2007 concerning the area of ​​education and prevention of gender violence, coeducation articles 30 to 33 and prevention of gender violence , Articles 42 to 46.

Finally, the motion urges the Government of the Nation to repeal the Law on Rationalization and Sustainability of Local Administration that has affected social policies, negatively affecting women;

That the media, the educational community and society in general, that we work to break the pre-established gender roles so that conciliation ceases to be "women's thing" and that co-responsibility is a reality.

That workers 'representatives on the different Works Councils continue to strive to ensure that Collective Agreements, Equality Plans and all workplaces include measures to improve the Workers' Statute and to enable conciliation may be possible.

Because conciliation is a right and a duty of all.
