This initiative has the objective of recognizing and enhancing the work of those individuals and legal entities that have stood out in a relevant way in the defense of the values ​​that promote equality of opportunities between women and men of Totana in different areas of life.
The homage will consist, as usual, in a mention and the delivery of a diploma to be given publicly in the institutional events organized on March 8 on the occasion of the International Women's Day.
In addition, the call for this recognition seeks to give impetus to the policies of equal opportunities and treatment between women and men;
And contribute to this to improve the situation of women in Totana, according to sources in this municipal department.
In the same way, this tribute aims to recognize and reward the work carried out in this municipality in favor of gender equality in any field, such as education, sports, advertising, media, social, political and business activity.
Proposals may be submitted by any entity or association or by at least a group of five people, and must submit a single candidate by group or entity.
Two modalities for the homage are contemplated:
A) Women totaneras who have eminently excelled in any area of ​​social, cultural, political or economic life;
Women who have promoted equal opportunities in all areas of life: education, sports, advertising, media, social, political and / or business, artistic, and other activities.
B) Tribute to an entity, legal entity that has stood out for its work or activity at the local level for its fight for equality between men and women.
The applications will be formalized by sending the documentation that governs the bases, duly completed and enclosing the documents indicated therein.
You can also attach as many documents as relevant data or additional information on the proposed candidacy, being empowered by the City of Totana to request as much documentation as it deems appropriate in order to verify or complete the one submitted by the applicants.
The jury is composed of the president (president of the Municipal Council of Equality or who delegates), Secretary with voice but no vote (secretary of the Municipal Council of Equality) and the people appointed by the Municipal Council of Equality of Totana , Not exceeding three members.
Thus, the jury of the tribute will value all actions activities or experiences that promote, promote or actively support gender equality. That direct or indirect persons have benefited from the achievements;
Which belongs to an association of the municipality of Totana, since it will take into account the number of groups or persons that endorse that proposal;
