The Hall of Municipalities of the Palacio San Esteban today hosted the fourth meeting of the Council of Mayors, which outlined the lines of collaboration undertaken by the regional government with municipalities as well as the main regional projects for the 2017 exercise.
The meeting took place this morning with the attendance of the Mayor of Totana, Juan José Cánovas, who was also attended by Juan Antonio Pedreño, president of the Union of Associated Labor Cooperatives of the Region of Murcia, UCOMUR, and the Development Counselor Juan Hernández, who addressed various issues related to a priority objective of the regional government as the social economy.
The Council of Mayors, an organ made up of the mayors of the 45 municipalities of the Region, holds semi-annual meetings with representatives of the regional administration.
It aims to establish a more fluid contact between the regional administration and the municipalities, the attempt to foment a new framework of collaboration and cooperation.
