The City Council makes its annual economic contribution to the La Santa Foundation amounting to 12,000 for operating expenses of this entity (05/12/2016)

The Local Government Board of the City of Totana has recently approved the recognition of the budget obligation of 12,000 euros for this year 2016 in favor of the La Santa de Totana Foundation for operating expenses of this entity.

The La Santa Foundation was created by common agreement between the City of Totana, representing the town of Totana, and the Diocese of Cartagena, representing the Catholic Church;

And has as main mission to preserve the nature of the Sanctuary of Santa Eulalia, popularly known as La Santa.

In the presidency of the La Santa Foundation, the mayor of the town hall of Totana and the parish priest of the temple of Santiago el Mayor alternate annually.

In the Statutes of the La Santa de Totana Foundation, specifically article 24, section d, the commitment to make an economic contribution each year by each of the founding entities.
