The Department of City Services and Municipal Infrastructure has placed during the last days a total of 40 new bins in different parts of the urban area, whose approximate investment amounts to 5,540 euros, explained the mayor of the branch, Víctor Balsas.
The litter bins have been installed in the "Padre Chrysostom de Vinalesa" park and in different areas of the public thoroughfare, such as educational centers and numerous pedestrian streets.
This urban furniture has been placed in Calle Mar (CEIP La Cruz Gate), Alhama Street, Juan Carlos I Avenue (Tumar Bar and Los Tubos Bar), Teniente Pérez Redondo Street (CEIP Santa Eulalia Gate), Calle Santa Rita, San Antonio (CEIP Tierno Galván), Paseo La Cerámica, Calle Cabezuelas (CEIP San José) and Granadita Street.
In addition, several units have been placed in the streets of San Cristóbal, Rambla de La Santa, Santiago, Santomera, Avenue of Lorca and Paseo Rambla Las Peras, among others.
This action has been undertaken in the first phase, since in the first months of 2017 another 100 new paper mills will be placed in the remaining parks and gardens of the municipality (including the districts).
The installation work was carried out by the concessionaire of the service of urban solid waste collection and road cleaning "Totana Servicios Urbanos", to which its effort is acknowledged and the collaboration provided.
The delegate councilor, Victor Balsas, said that the placement of this new furniture "is one of the steps we are taking to improve the cleanliness of our streets, squares and gardens," while asking citizens in general to Make use of them to have a cleaner urban environment.
