The Department of Services to the City and Infrastructures is performing during these days work of repainting the signage of the weekly market stalls in the public thoroughfare in order that the merchants know exactly the delimitation of their exhibitors.
The work is being coordinated by the municipal technician of the Department of Markets and Plaza de Abastos of the City of Totana.
At present, the total number of meters occupied for street vending in the weekly market is 1,583 linear meters, with an average occupancy of about eight linear meters.
The commercial offer of the weekly market is very wide and varied, with 203 being the total number of outlets installed in the different ways that this service occupies every Wednesday.
The total number of stalls dedicated to the sale of food products rises to 70, occupying an area of ​​579 linear meters;
While the non-food product is 133, and with a surface that reaches 1,004 linear meters.
Amongst the others, sales of fruit and vegetables (42), followed by the sale of salted and pickled products (6), sausages and preserves (5) and nuts Legumes (4).
On the other hand, the commercial offer of non-food stalls is also varied and the most numerous (90), followed by footwear (16) are the most numerous household and clothing items;
