The program of the Employment District Councils this year will allow the temporary employment of 114 unemployed in Totana, in two different shifts, in which three different projects will be undertaken: conservation forest areas in La Santa;
improvement of parks and gardens;
and cleaning works of roads and public roads, with a total grant of 340.0673,02 euros, according to the Councillor for Works and Infrastructure, Victor Balsas.
The project of the County Councils of Empel is a program to promote rural employment through grants from the National Public Service of Employment of the Ministry of Employment and Social Security to the local governments, aimed at recruiting workers for the execution of projects of general interest and social.
On October 1 the first shift began with the hiring of 57 unemployed people who perform work until January.
The second turn, includes hiring 57 other unemployed people who develop their work from January to late March.
The three projects are carried out in two phases of three months each and the grant is designed to cover the total wage costs arising from the hiring of the unemployed, says the mayor Victor Balsas.
The service works conservation forest areas in La Santa has a grant of 29,883.60 euros to hire 10 unemployed workers;
while the improvement of parks and gardens City Council has 53,790.48 euros to finance the wage cost of 18 unemployed.
For its part, the project works cleaning of roads and public roads, patching rural roads and sidewalks adequacy amounts to 256,998.96 euros, equivalent to the total aid to hire 86 unemployed.
