The Department of Culture of Totana Town Council has scheduled a series of activities for Monday on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Municipal Library "Mateo Garcia", coinciding with the "International Day of the Library"
This initiative seeks to highlight "Yesterday and today the library", from its origins to today, according to sources from the municipal department.
The event aims to be an emotional meeting which will involve the writer and historian totanero Gines Rosa, with the story of his book "Totana Endearing", in which it appears how and when the library opened.
Also featured will be the first librarian and who promoted this municipal service, Maria Lourdes Martinez Canovas, and some of the senior partners who tell their experience and experiences over time.
The program will start from 17:00 hours with the exhibition documents the founding era.
Then from 17:30 pm in the children's room, it will be held the Workshop Reading Promotion "Doctor cuentitis", in which children between 6 and 9 years prior registration, may participate in the account of the history of the library and decorate the birthday cake, and photographed at the photocall.
From 19:00 hours, it is scheduled to begin open day in which both the media and attendees will take a stroll through the history and the memory of the library, awarding them a bookmark's 50th anniversary .
Finally, from 19:30 pm will be held the activity "The Library since its inception," at which the text reflects the opening of the library will read a powerpoint will be shown with archival photos, and will end with a get-together by the authorities and guests at the event.
Parallel to the conference, from today until next Monday 31 October, the library will launch a campaign on Facebook, so that all members and readers who want to tell their experience of how, when, and why were discharged in the toilet.
