The Mayor of Totana, Juan José Canovas, and the first deputy mayor, Andres Garcia, recently met with the board of Illustrious Cabildo Processions of Totana in order to take the first steps of coordination to organize the Holy Week 2017.
During the working meeting, held at City Hall, it was reported amortization of the seat of the Cabildo, located in Castle Street in this town, under the annual agreement signed with the totanero Consistory in 2002, by the that they had been giving annual grants for acquisition by this entity.
Furthermore, it highlighted the willingness of institutional collaboration between the two sides, as well as ideas and innovations that are being considered ahead of the celebration of Holy Week next year.
The mayor renewed, on behalf of the municipal corporation, its offer of cooperation to the President of the Cabildo, Antonio Martinez Belchí in all projects and joint initiatives that contribute to the development and promotion of Holy Week in the municipality.
The Illustrious Cabildo Processions Superior is a passionate man ecclesial character association aims to promote and coordinate through the 17 brotherhoods Easter public worship to the mysteries of the Passion, Death and Resurrection of Jesus.
