In the last edition of the Sports Games Guadalentín from the Club Lorca-O they opted to develop an introductory course to allow those interested in the orientation gain a basic understanding to start enjoying the sport.
Given the success of this event, this year has returned to reedit to round off a weekend in which the orientation has been prominent players in the municipality.
The training room of Felipe VI Sports Complex hosted the morning of Saturday, October 8, between 10 and 13 hours, a new orientation course.
The 15 participants learned Technicians Club Lorca-O notions about the use of compass and map and basic techniques, also resolving doubts about this sport that has much pull in Lorca.
During the day on Sunday, initiates were able to implement what they have learned through the practice session developed.
And nothing better than the 12th Conference of the Regional League Orientation to learn from the experts.
On Sunday, from 10 am, this test was held at the Oasis, in the Sierra de Tercia, on a new map charted by José Antonio García Murcia in September 2016, so despite being a place that already had hosted orienteering, runners premiered a new track.

The terrain allowed a good running speed.
Between 10 and 1115 outputs in various categories were given, including the popular, performing careers ranging from 2'3 kms.
and 70 meters of altitude for the Open Amarillo up to 4'6 kms.
and 210 vertical meters for the Elite category in which the runners had to go through 19 controls.
In total 230 people competed in this event consolidates Lorca as a city full of guidance thanks to the work of the Club Lorca-O.
