The Full Council of Totana approved unanimously and definitively, in the last session in September called Regulation Municipal Planning Council as a body of citizen participation in this area.
In addition, the suggestions presented during the public inquiry by the Municipal People's Party and the municipal architect, in the terms included in the proposal signed by the Town Planning, Carlos Ballester partially estimated;
and introducing the text originally approved the changes resulting from the estimation of such suggestions.
Thereafter, it requires political groups, associations, organizations and entities listed in Article 4 of Regulation Sectorial Planning Board, to proceed to appoint people to represent them as members of the Board, and shall communicate in writing to the City the names of their representatives.
The Sectoral Planning Council was created in order to encourage the participation of citizens and channel information of the associated entities in municipal affairs concerning this matter.
It is also considered desirable to involve members of the Council as a representative of the cultural sector, another representative of the hospitality industry and other representative of the tourism sector in the municipality.
The Sectoral Planning Board intends to be a non-binding information, advice and proposal for the promotion of initiatives on urban planning and management college of participation of the City advisory status.
This body will be integrated into the Department Head of Planning, which will provide technical support and structure necessary for its operation, and made for the purpose of promoting civic participation and channel information of the associated entities in municipal affairs concerning this subject.

It also aims to track the resolutions adopted by the competent governing bodies on the proposals it raised, receive information of all decisions and agreements governing bodies related to the municipal area and exercise of organ involvement and communication with associations and entities related to this policy area.
It also advocates propose and channel initiatives and suggestions that would promote improved planning and environment in Totana and propose to the Municipal Corporation appropriate measures for promotion and empowerment.
This Council will be composed of the president (mayor or delegation in the vice president), senior vice president (Town Planning), second vice president (Councillor for the Environment), Secretary (appointed by the mayor from among city staff assigned to the area of ​​Urbanism) and board members.
