The Mayor of Totana, Juan José Canovas, has issued an edict informing the owners and users of equipment and machines for applying plant protection products in the totanero field that should make mandatory technical periodic inspection before next November 26 as a reminder order of the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Environment.

In addition, it is noted that before the breach of Royal Decree governing this rule, the 1702/2011 of 18 November, farmers can be sanctioned under Law 43/2002, of November 20, Plant Protection, with or where appropriate even lose subsidies to agriculture that apply.

also it announced that non-compliance with this rule can be significant adverse consequences for the marketing and export of agricultural products of Spanish origin.

The autonomous communities are entities of strict control inspections.
