This past weekend, 2.3 and 4 September, our counselors took up the competition at national level with the second part of the League 2016, which begins after the summer.
This time they headed to Malaga, where the 9th round of the Spanish League was held, which was also a valid proof of City Race Euro Tour 2016, which is a league races are held in different European cities and which are characterized the long distance race rather than by forest as we used is the streets of the city.
Thus, our counselors could enjoy running through the historic center of Malaga, which was combined with controls on the nearby Mount of Gibralfaro.
For middle distance race our counselors if they were immersed in the woods of "Arroyo Toquero" where predominated Pine reforestation, and the slopes were moderate to strong, giving the feeling of a similar terrain that we have here in Murcia.
And finally, a quick sprint was held at Pier 1 in the city, near the port of Malaga and where the last beacons were in the sand on the beach Malagueta.
With regard to classifications for this competition the podium would be completed only with the results of the long run, another feature of the City Race Euro Tour.
As for results, in order of average distance, sprint, long distance, we find:
Manuel Martinez Barcelo, who occupied the 4th, 35th position and 26th in M-14;
Antonio Jesus Lopez Cortijos 18º, 24º y20º in M-20th.
In M-21B, Laureano Molino was 42º in the long and 58th in the sprint distance;
M-40, Salvador Martinez Canovas was 9th, 11th, 14th;
M-45, Fermín Barceló was 5th in the average and 27th in the long run, and Ramon Ruiz Segura was 25th in average and 89th in the long run;
and finally, our veteran Bartolo Molino Canovas was in middle 3rd and 8th in the long run.
Regarding girls in Molino Maria F-14 was 9th, 27th, 29th, Marta Martínez Barceló was 16th, 24th in the middle and sprint, and Angela Lozoya was 39th in the long run;
F-16, Alba Martinez Ibanez was 9th, 4th and 2nd, climbing the podium for this magnificent second place;
in F-18 / 20B, Marta Moreno Navarro was 3rd in the middle;
F-20th Rosa Sanchez was 3rd, 4th and 9th;
F-21st Carolina Segura was 4th in the average and 14th in the long run;
F-35 th Maria Teresa Barceló was 4th, 8th and 7th;
in F-40, Maria Cortijos was 12ªen the average 7th in the sprint, and Maria Romero was 6th in the average and 20th in the long run.
Finally, Open category, our very young Rodrigo Molino Castillo was 12th in average and 4th in the long run.
Soon our counselors reprise the regional league career with Alcayna the 18th.
