Users of day centers for the disabled in Totana and a new vehicle for daily shuttle service offer users of day centers for the disabled in Totana already have a new vehicle for daily shuttle service, which comes to election commitment to respond to the municipal government to offer it to improve service delivery and quality of life for them.
Local authorities have introduced the new vehicle in an act that has had, in the center "José Moya Trilla", with the assistance of the mayor, Juan Jose Canovas, Councillor for Social Welfare, Javier Baños, and numerous members of local government and of the Municipal Corporation.
In addition, the act has had the presence of users, professionals, relatives and representatives of the sponsors who made it possible, under static advertising inserted in the van, finance and offer this new means of transport.

Just the same course will benefit a total of 54 dependents: 21 users of the day center for the mentally ill and disabled 33 may exit and scheduled visits by professionals.
The City Council and a company advertising management had been working for months to agree the purchase of this vehicle of 9 seats that will suit shortly for use-transport of such persons with disabilities and their use by day centers "José Moya "and" Princess Letizia "of this town, respectively.
Totana Mayor thanked the 24 local companies collaborating involvement in the initiative for the purchase of the van and congratulated them for the gesture of "sincere cooperation" that will have this great project "social profitability".
This action bears fruit after the Local Government Board awarded last March the previous vehicle mayor a neighbor of Totana for a final price of 12,488 euros, since it was the only proposal that had been submitted to the procurement process ;
in order to replace it by this new van and also thanks to the invaluable financial support of these 24 listed local companies.
Mayor tourism finally came to tender by open auction with upward proposals for a starting price of 12,288 euros.
This tourism had 85,782 kilometers and ITV in force until November 2017;
and was intended change since the beginning of this term by another with different characteristics, intended use of transport dependents as in this case.
The City Council also wanted to thank, in the words of the mayor of Social Welfare, the Association of Parents of Disabled Intellectuals Totana (PADISITO) and Civil Protection available to provide transportation services;
that has been done in recent months users of the two Centres Day of Disabled People in this town.
Last April was signed, in fact, a collaboration agreement between the City of Totana and PADISITO for the development of transport services aimed at users of both centers.
Under this agreement the City collaborated economically with PADISITO association bringing the amount of 1,700 euros per month in compensation for the costs of providing this transport service, whose agreement expired on July 31 to mark the end of season.
This agreement was made given the current and urgent needs that had the City Council for proper development and standard of transport services users both day centers of care for people with disabilities, and to the increase of the same and limited means available to provide them (vehicle adapted) .In this way, it is possible to cover, therefore, this need until the City Council could now present the new van and develop appropriate actions to provide this service for independent means.
The agreement was intended to make these transport services are funded by the Autonomous Community, through the agreement established between the City of Totana and the Instituto Murciano Social Action (IMAS) for this purpose.
At the end of the act, users have dealt a gift to representatives of 24 partner companies that have coparticipated in this interesting social action.
