Totana City Council is promoting actions in recent months effective equality between men and women in matters of public procurement in the scope of its powers by including clauses in the proceedings.
The city has already approved a motion that the Consistory henceforth included in the clause on labor, social and environmental obligations, the specific administrative clauses in this regard last year.
The City Council urges the obligation of the contractor compliance with current regulations on effective equality of women and men, according to the provisions of the Organic Law 3/2007 of 22 March.
Totana City Council, as a contracting subject should require private entities that promote real way gender equality;
and this is the best way to contribute to effective equality between men and women.
To achieve the purpose of implementing the principle of equality between men and women and eradicate discrimination on grounds of sex, not enough only with the commitment of public bodies, but their promotion is necessary in the field of relations Administration and with individuals.
