The Mayor of Totana, Juan José Canovas, has raised a motion to the May plenary session for the City Council adheres to the Local Action Group of Campodos through some districts of the municipality, in this case, Los Cantareros, Las Lomas, El Paretón , Las Ventas, Lebor Bajo, the High and Low Raiguero and the town of Totana.
Association for Rural Development "Campodos' is established as a non-profit organization in autonomous regime and delimited by law field, and arises from the situation in which is the territory Campo de Cartagena of the Community Murcia autonomous and aware that, through the joint efforts of business associations, cooperatives, associations of different types, entities, entrepreneurs and municipalities, development goals and improving living conditions we all want can be achieved.
The City Council intends to decide, under the order of June 19, 2015 of the Ministry of Agriculture and Water, the selection in the Murcia region of LAGs candidates to manage Strategies Participatory Local Development in the period 2014-2020.
The proposal of the Mayor agrees to make an annual contribution corresponding to 0.60 euros per territory integrated into the association and representatives of the City designated as the Local Action Group Campodos the first deputy mayor, Andrés García Cánovas.
The Campodos Association carries out a series of activities in order to achieve its objectives, as implementing projects on the local and regional development through the management of programs and initiatives of character regional, national and community promoted by the various Spanish government and community .
It also establishes the relevant organizational structures or hire the services of specialized professional entities, facilitates the exchange of information on topics of interest of the association, is consulting services and assistance to its members.
In addition, it addresses the public authorities and is involved in an advisory capacity where appropriate, in the formulation of legal regulations affecting the associated municipalities;
organizes and participates in meetings, seminars and conferences;
and promotes publications and documents of their own competencies materials.
