Totana yesterday hosted a meeting to continue the participatory process for the development of the new Strategy and Action Plan of the European Charter for Sustainable Tourism (CETS) Espuña (2017-2021), in which representatives of the sectors hospitality, travel agencies, sports clubs, environmental associations, beekeeping, among others.
This meeting gave a brief presentation of the CETS and its trajectory in the territory, a preview of the contributions received in the open process of participation and contributions of persons attending the meeting he collected.
The representatives of different social groups made their contributions;
and the meeting was attended by the mayor, Juan Jose Canovas, Councillor for Environment, Agustin Gonzalo Martinez, and councilors of the Municipal Corporation, Gertrudis Ruiz and Carlos Ballester.
This accreditation is a proposal to effectively advance the principles of sustainable tourism in natural areas, the aim of this system is to ensure the commitment to implement a local strategy for sustainable tourism by all administration , managers, tourism operators and other local actors.
