The Mayor of Totana, Juan José Canovas, recently met with members of the Parliamentary Group of Podemos in the Regional Assembly, Antonio Urbina and Maria Gimenez, in order to inform them of the economic and financial situation hounding the City and the Plan Adjustment rejected twice by the PP and the PSOE in plenary.
In addition, the proposal of possible indirect management posed by the Mayor in the Municipal Water Service for a period to be public, profitable and quality was discussed.
Alderman parliamentarians moved to the economic and financial state of the municipal coffers, which is clearly worrying if no help from external administrations;
and all agreed the mayor's approach regarding the process of the adjustment plan.
They also held a heated debate on the possibility of indirect management of Municipal Water or other alternatives that make it more efficient;
and were interested in the situation in which the proposed High Voltage Line is.
The deputies were ready to receive the first mayor in the Regional Assembly today to see first hand the political reality of the municipality and thus take initiatives to support the municipality of Totana.
During the meeting, which lasted more than two hours, it was concluded that there is no express commitment to help the City by the Regional Assembly for the Municipal Water Service and the coincidence that the municipal financial situation is viable and sustainable with current resources.
The mayor has already met earlier this legislature with the deputies of the Socialist Group, the totanero Alfonso Martínez Baños and Isabel Casalduero, both elected by the constituency number one of the Shire of Guadalentín, in order to publicize also political reality of the municipality and totanero own town.
