On Saturday April 30 took place the Local Phase Athletics School Sports, organized by the Department of Sports, at the Polideportivo Municipal "December 6", which was attended by 98 students belonging to the categories juvenile, infant, cadet and youth from different schools in the locality.
The final winners in different categories were: Ismael Martínez Ibáñez (La Milagrosa) in male juvenile;
Nora Mendoub (San Jose) in juvenile female;
Pedro Martínez González (Prado Mayor) in male infant;
Maria Francisca Lopez Porlán (Reina Sofia) in female children;
Juan Jesus Lopez Martinez (Reina Sofia) in male cadet;
Silvia Martinez Aledo (La Milagrosa) in female cadet;
Vicente Navarro Canovas (Prado Mayor) in male juvenile;
and Mireya Gaona Quizhpe Alexandra (Prado Mayor) in female youth category.
This local phase Athletics concluded with the presentation of trophies to the top three finishers in each category, by the Councillor for Human Resources of the City of Totana, Gertrudis Ruiz Tudela.
In addition, students ranked higher in the school competition will have the opportunity to participate in the Regional Final Athletics School Sports, organized by the Directorate General of Sports in the Region of Murcia, which will take place on 20 and 21 May , in Cartagena.
