The Department of Culture, through the Municipal Library "Mateo Garcia", presented yesterday the awards II Story Contest "Morerica Galan" at a ceremony held in the theater of Socio-Cultural Center "Jail" in the program of activities organized to mark the Day Libro'2016.

The event was attended by the mayor, Juan José Canovas, and the Councillor for Citizen Participation, Agustin Gonzalo Martinez, who presented the awards to the winners of the different schools of Totana who have participated in this second edition.

In the same appointment he logically the promoter of the event, Morerica Galan, who also starred Storyteller activity with the presentation of his book "Rudo and Pisa".

Participants in the competition this year were 25 students from different schools of Totana, in this case, of schools of Primary Education "Tierno Galvan", "Santiago" and "The Cross";

and secondary schools, "Juan de la Cierva" and "Reina Sofia";

which represents a significant increase over the three students who participated last year.

According to sources of the jury in assessing the competition they have been taken into account aspects such as creativity, lack of misspellings, appropriate language and syntax and originality of the story proposal.

The winning works of this second edition the authors have been in Primary Education: 1 "Karani albino lion," Victoria Lopez Ivars, 6th school "La Cruz";

2nd "kiremt" Anisia Duncan Rosa, 6th of "The Cross";

and 3 "The road to happiness," Ana Perez Tudela, 6th of "The Cross".

In the form of stories in secondary education the winners were: 1st "Fatima, African girl," Erica Guevara Espejo, from IES "Reina Sofía";

2nd "Under the very shadow" by Francisco José Moreno Momiejo, the IES "Reina Sofia";

and 3 "sick with malaria Maku" Maria Isabel Moreno Momiejo, the IES "Reina Sofia".
