During the months of February, March and April 2016 are developing two training courses for unemployed people, both courses aimed at improving the employability of people in situations of social vulnerability.
These courses are part of the training activities developed by the "WORK: A step towards employability" project, a project that is working in Totana since November 2007, in collaboration with the City of Totana and financed 20% by the Murciano Institute of Social Action and 80% by the European Social Fund.
Through this project it is to inform, educate and guide unemployed people on issues related to the workplace.
It is an initiative of socio-labor character, which is intended to facilitate the employment of those who are interested in actively participating in changing their unemployment.
The two courses held recently with the participation of 37 people, mostly the municipality of Totana, both have been made in the social center of Barrio San Roque, where the headquarters of the Collective for Social Promotion "El Candil" is located.
The first of the courses conducted, has been the Personal and Workplace Basic Skills, 72 hours, through the / as alumni / ae have acquired skills in the field of social skills, techniques of active job search and basic computer.
The second training, 48 hours, has been to Mozo / a Warehouse and Reponedor where / as alumni / ae have learned everything related to the office of warehouseman and forklift handling.
This course also offer theoretical content, it has had the practical work and visits to companies in the food sector.
