Over 600 students have participated in the Kitchen Workshop "Sharing the kitchen", organized by the Department of Women and Equal Opportunities, which have been taught in schools in Totana, under a grant from the Institute of Women of the Region of Murcia.
The objectives of these workshops, which are part of the measures envisaged in the Second Plan for Equal Opportunities between women and men of Totana, have been promoting family responsibility in the current generations for both boys and girls develop life skills enabling them to take on family tasks and responsibilities of the family.
It was also intended to motivate children about the importance of sharing responsibilities for household chores, including cooking as a task of the members of the family and develop educational strategies to encourage the distribution of family tasks and roles.
The workshops, which have been offered to Primary schools, began teaching in December and have been developed until this June.
During the workshop, students learned the basics of how to mount the table, how to behave in it and how everything always pick a team, and participated in a contest of kebabs sandwiches, crackers and vegetables.
From the Department appreciates the involvement of teachers for these workshops that have sought to encourage the collaboration of children in the kitchen tasks, promoting values of teamwork, good behavior, respect and responsibility.
