| After the adaptation works of this infrastructure | The mayor of Totana, Juan Jos C novas, has announced that as of Monday, January 11, it is planned to begin the assistance activity in the Medical Office in the district of El Paret n-Cantareros , after the adaptation works to COVID-19 undertaken by the Totana City Council in recent months and whose infrastructure has already been made available to the Ministry of Health. This has been communicated by those responsible for the Management of the Health Area III of Lorca, to which the municipality of Totana belongs, so that users of this important district will no longer have to travel to the Health Center.

Salud Totana Sur, as has been happening in recent months as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. Precisely, the Totanero Consistory received last week the expansion and adaptation works of the Medical Office of El Paret n-Cantareros to COVID-19, after the completion of the adaptation actions of said infrastructure, making it available to the Autonomous Community for its reopening. The Totana City Council has made a municipal investment of more than 35,000 euros in order to resume Primary Care in the district safely, once the regional Administration starts it up. The City Council, in collaboration with the Paretón Neighborhood Board, has been working to carry out the necessary adjustments to the district's medical office to adapt said space to the current situation and that Primary Care can be re-provided with the necessary guarantees to carry out the security protocols against Covid-19. Once finished, it remains at the disposal of the competent Administration, the Ministry of Health through the Health Area III Management, for its reopening.

Professionals from the Totana Sur Health Center have worked in the last days of last year together with the municipal services in adapting the facilities for their imminent start-up. After this reform, which was a requirement of the Ministry of Health for its reopening after the State of Alarm, the Clinic may remain open in the event of any circumstance derived from the COVID-19 pandemic, saving inconvenience for patients.

Neighbors who received primary care in this clinic and who since March have been transferred to one of the Health Centers in the urban area.
