The Department of Commerce of the Totana City Council reminds that tomorrow Thursday is the last day to request aid from the commerce and hospitality sectors within the campaign "Your consumption in Totana", an initiative promoted by the Consistory and made available to the self-employed and businessmen of both professional sectors of the municipality with bonuses of 5 euros each, for a total amount of 100,000 euros. The deadline for submitting applications was 5 business days from the day following the publication of the announcement of the call in the Official Gazette of the Region of Murcia (BORM) , which is why it officially ends tomorrow, Thursday, December 17, according to its owner, Javier Baños. The purpose of this aid is to protect the general interest, acting directly on the natural and legal persons most affected to face this extraordinary situation caused by COVID-19 in order to prevent them from originating irreversible economic and social consequences for the inhabitants of the municipality and to try to produce a reactivation of the local economy as soon as possible, avoiding that the economic and social impact is prolonged over time. The purpose of these bases is to establish the special regulations governing the direct granting of subsidies to the commerce and hospitality sector aimed at reactivating them through the granting of financial aid in the form of bonuses applicable to your customers. In particular, the reasons of public interest that justify the direct granting of subsidies are specified in fundamental issues for the development of the commerce and hospitality sector of Totana, minimizing the economic effects derived from the situation.
