| The bases were published on December 10 and there are only 5 days to submit applications | Launch of aid of € 150,000 for the rescue of the hospitality and commerce of the municipality thanks to a motion raised by the PP for the extraordinary plenary session in August.
The proposal presented by the PP and voted unanimously in the September plenary session, consists of the launch of € 100,000.00 for the "Trade Check" and "Bar Check", discount vouchers for purchase in small businesses and for consumption in the bars and restaurants of the municipality, necessary to reactivate its economy.
In addition, the motion raises € 25,000.00 for merchants and hoteliers associations and € 25,000.00 for programs to promote consumption in shops and bars in the municipality.
It is never too late if happiness is good, but since July 23, when Totana entered phase 1, the PP raised an extraordinary plenary session in August to propose a series of aid that could benefit the commerce and hospitality of the town, two of the sectors most affected by the current health crisis.
Four months after the PP's proposal to declare these sectors in a "State of Economic Emergency", the actions aimed at providing an item of € 150,000.00 for aid to hospitality and commerce are launched .
Another of the proposals that were included in the motion was the development of two "Strategic Plans" for rescue and promotion, one for trade and the other for hospitality and tourism promotion.
An action that has not yet been launched by the City Council and that we request be done immediately, because these actions are necessary to prevent the closure of shops and bars and not once they have had to cancel the deal.
The implementation of these measures has been done through the work table in which, as stated in the motion, representatives of the businesses and hospitality of the municipality have participated, as well as , all the representatives of the municipal corporation.
From the PP we are satisfied to have obtained a line of aid of these characteristics, but we denounce the lack of professionalism on the part of the Councilor for the branch when presenting the bases, where he has not invited the representatives of both sectors nor to the rest of the members that make up the work table.
We understand that this Government Team wants to place all the medals, since it is a team devoid of initiatives and proposals to help those affected to get out of the crisis in which we are entering, as happened in the first "wave" of aid that were approved in plenary session, where all were worked by the opposition and none from the Government Team, which are solely dedicated to implementing the proposals provided by the rest of the corporation.
From the Popular Party we demand from now that this bet on helping merchants and hoteliers did not end here, the approved motion also included a support item for these sectors for the 2021 budget of 200,000.00 €.
Finally, to emphasize the importance of these grants and ask for the maximum dissemination among merchants and hoteliers, since there is little time for the presentation of the application.
We must achieve the widest possible diffusion so that participation is maximum among the merchants and hoteliers of the municipality and ask the totaneros for their total involvement in the participation to make use of these bonuses, because among all we can help raise Totana.
