The Government Team guarantees the Presence Security of the Pieces of the Bastida until the decision of the Ministry of Culture and the Autonomous Community (18/11/2020)

By means of a credit modification, the expenditure borne by the City Council will be reached at the end of December, with no problems until February 2021 until the Plenary decides the steps to follow.This morning, as announced to the Spokespersons of the Political Groups on November 16, the Mayor of Totana has signed the Credit Modification File to supplement the On-site Security item for the Pieces of the Bastida, guaranteeing until December 31, 2020 and beyond to the end of February 2021, with the fiscal year next year that does not need modification in the budget items.Since the 2019 Extended Budget in force in 2020 was not approved by the Plenary, it did not contemplate sufficient coverage that is now solved with this Credit Modification until the end of the year for a value of 12,878.56 euros.

Amounts of investment and tourism items had to be deducted to meet this expense until the end of the year.

Specifically, 4,000 euros of investments are reduced in Paretón, 7,000 in Service Equipment in La Santa or 2,500 that leave zero forecasts for Tourism or Reserves for the year 2020.As stated by the Heads of the UAB Team, they will hold a meeting with the Minister of Culture to guarantee the financing of the maintenance of face-to-face surveillance, as well as the continuity of excavation or research projects of the Argaric Site owned by the Totana City Council.Once the commitments are defined by the Autonomous Community and the Ministry of Culture or the Autonomous Community, the Plenary of the City Council will decide the steps to follow in these investment projects or maintenance of the Municipal Property.For tomorrow, Thursday, an Extraordinary Plenary session requested by 7 councilors of the Corporation is called by the Mayor to discuss the continuity of the Presence Security of the pieces deposited in the facilities of the Site. Private security is managed by a company that obtained the contract for face-to-face surveillance in a public tender in which only the current concessionaire was presented and was informed as suitable by the legal services of the Contracting Bureau and the relevant technical report.
