The PP recalls that the direct aid that the regional government has made available to the hotel and tourism sector can be requested until October 30 (22/10/2020)

The Popular Party of Totana has recalled that the direct aid launched by the regional government at the disposal of the hotel and tourism sector can be requested until October 30 through the website of the Institute of Tourism of the Region of Murcia. The PP spokesman, Juan Pagán, stressed that the Government of López Miras shows that "it is betting on the sector, mobilizing 21 million euros in direct aid and credits to ensure that the 40,000 jobs that depend on the sector are maintained", while "The Government of Spain still does not implement an ambitious rescue plan to mitigate the impact of the current situation." The package of direct subsidies has an item of 5,350,000 euros, arranged to maintain the activity of the sector in the face of the effects and restrictions caused by the health crisis and can access, in addition to SMEs, micro-SMEs and self-employed from the hospitality industry, travel, conference organizations, tour guides and tourism activity companies. Pagán, recalled that this initiative is added to the microcredit line through which, up to 100,000 euros in loans at 0 percent interest are offered to cover expenses such as payroll, rents, fees or expenses that suffocate the companies of the sector at this time, in addition to aid for the self-employed of up to 7,000 euros who have experienced a decrease in turnover by 30 percent, compared to last year. The PP affects that the Government of Sánchez continues to ignore the request of the sector to reduce VAT, this reduction being necessary to encourage consumption, as several European countries have done.
