| On the first floor of the Municipal Center for the Elderly | The Documentation Unit of the National Police of Lorca has recently resumed in the municipality of Totana the mobile service for issuing the National Identity Document (DNI), by prior appointment, which has been provided normally since last week, according to sources of the Department of Citizen Services. The agents serve users every Tuesday morning on the first floor of the Municipal Center for the Elderly, from 9:00 to 14:00; after making an appointment by calling 968 418151 and pressing option 8.After so many months of stoppage due to the pandemic as a result of the state of alarm, appointments are now being scheduled, so that all those corresponding to the month of October are already occupied.Given the situation generated by the evolution of COVID-19, measures are logically adopted aimed at protecting the health of citizens, in such a way that the place where this service is traditionally provided, has sufficient spaces for maintaining distance from security and two tables equipped with two protective screens for the two officials who travel to the municipality. As for the scheduled appointments, these first weeks do not exceed 30 people; and later on, it will be assessed, by means of an access controller, if this number of appointments can be increased weekly in order to speed up the existing demand.
