The Plenary of the Totana City Council has approved, in its last ordinary session, unanimously, the adhesion to the Telematic Consumer Arbitration Board offered by the General Directorate of Consumption of the Autonomous Community. In addition, the plenary agreement includes implementing the administrative processes necessary for the citizens of Totana to know the telematic management lines to the aforementioned Consumer Arbitration Board, as included in the motion presented by the Mixed Group (Cs).Due to the pandemic generated by COVID-19, the General Directorate of Consumption and Crafts has promoted this mechanism, in collaboration with local administrations.Last July, said General Directorate offered this substantial improvement in writing to all municipalities in the Region of Murcia, so that twenty-nine municipalities have already confirmed their adherence to the initiative of the Autonomous Community. This initiative is very favorable for the municipality of Totana, since the elimination of personal bureaucracies that entail trips to the management center, long waits, as well as lost working hours (sometimes difficult to justify), is one of the objectives set in services as a priority in all administrations, general, regional or local tango. In times of pandemic, in different areas and situations, telematic management is confirmed as essential, due to the lower social exposure. The foregoing does not entail the total elimination of the current management, since it is understood that certain sectors, due to age or lack of adequate means and knowledge, may continue to choose the old system according to their preferences in this regard; but this does not condition the improvements and advances of the rest of the citizens.
