The Totana City Council, through the municipal services of the Department of Services and Local Police, has recently collected 8,000 masks from the Ministry of Health and Public Function of the Government of Spain, through its Delegation of Murcia, in coordination with the Federation of Municipalities and Provinces.These units will be distributed in the coming days among the most vulnerable groups in the municipality of Totana, educational centers and essential services personnel.The Government of Spain will distribute from this week a total of 15 million masks, through the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (FEMP) and social entities.
Of these, 478,000 will be distributed in the Region of Murcia.The objective is to support local entities and the neediest families, coinciding with the opening of the school year.
Specifically, the delegations and sub-delegations of the Government distribute 11,998,000 masks to the municipalities.
The rest will be distributed to the Red Cross, Cáritas and the Spanish Committee of Representatives of People with Disabilities (CERMI), which in turn, will distribute them among the most needy groups.And the fact is that the reinforcement of coordination with local entities is one of the four measures included in the package of coordinated public health actions agreed by the autonomous communities within the Interterritorial Council of the National Health System (SNS) of the past September 9.
