The Totana City Council will begin negotiations for the transfer and, where appropriate, the acquisition of the old Renfe warehouse, located next to the railway station in this town, thus complying with the plenary agreement unanimously agreed at the end last July.In addition, it was approved to carry out a rehabilitation and adaptation project for the construction of a Comprehensive Youth Center, where the activities described in the exhibition part can be developed, and a reference center for our youth associations, as included in the initiative of the Municipal Socialist Group .Similarly, ways of financial contribution will be sought with the General Directorate of Culture and Heritage, as well as the Institute of Youth.It also included giving an audience, prior to the implementation of the adaptation project, to the local youth associations as well as to the music groups that can use it as a rehearsal venue, in order that said project meets the expectations and needs of its future users, as well as to achieve the involvement of our youth groups in this municipal commitment.The initiative referred to the acquisition of the old railway warehouse located next to the current intermodal station, to be rehabilitated and provide this large group with its own space, an interdisciplinary and comprehensive center.A center that brings together and is an axis to consolidate the youth movement and at the same time is a space that the young people of Totana feel as their own, where they can express their artistic and cultural concerns, and where, in turn, programs directed especially to them are developed.This infrastructure would house youth concerts, exhibitions of painting, photography, plays, free access classroom; and in this way offer our young people an alternative place, with easy parking, without having to leave the town and perfectly connected.
