A total of 15 people have recently started the Employment and Training Program of "Social and Health Care for Dependent People in Social Institutions", through which they will obtain a Certificate of Professionalism, which will be taught at the Totana Local Development Center and will allow the labor insertion of unemployed people from 25 to 54 years of age in our municipality, in the social and health field.The Councilor for Economic Development, Training and Employment, Inmaculada Blázquez, together with technicians from her department and the SEF, have inaugurated this mixed program with which it is intended that the 15 member students acquire the necessary professional skills to care for dependent people (older people, people with physical, mental, sensory disabilities, etc.); applying the strategies designed by the competent interdisciplinary team and the procedures to maintain their personal autonomy and their relationships with the environment.The Employment and Training Program of "Social and Health Care for Dependent People in Social Institutions" has a duration of one year and is distributed in a total of 1,920 hours, of which 370 hours will be theoretical, 78 hours of complementary training with training actions on literacy information technology, occupational risk prevention, environmental awareness, social economy and self-employment module, gender equality module and job search and improvement resources module and the rest of practices.At the end of this employment and training program, students will be able to access jobs such as caregiver of people with disabilities or dependency in institutions, caregiver of the physically, mentally and sensory disabled, or geoculture, among others.To carry out this Employment Program, the Regional Employment and Training Service (SEF) has awarded the Totana City Council a subsidy of 291,547.05 euros.In addition, for any information about more offers related to training, employment and self-employment, aid, facilities, Business Incubator, among other issues related to this Department, you can contact the Local Development Center by phone 968425003.
