The Autonomous Community is going to reestablish this next Monday, May 25, three other intercity bus lines, among them, the one that connects Totana with the municipalities of Lorca and Mazarrón, provided by the "Autocares Martínez, SL" concessionaire (with the schedules set in the attached document).In total, 15 public transport lines between Murcia municipalities have already been restored, at the request of the municipalities, since the cessation of the confinement decreed by the coronavirus pandemic more than two months ago, which were suspended.In this way, the line connecting the Port of Mazarrón to Lorca is put into operation again, passing through the towns of Totana and Alhama de Murcia, with a frequency from Monday to Sunday for the next few weeks.
In addition, the mandatory use of a mask for traveling by bus that covers the nose and mouth is established for users.As reported by the concession company itself to the City of Totana, the bus stops will continue to be the usual ones along the crossing on Juan Carlos I Avenue in this town (Red Cross, DIA Supermarket and Tirol-Camilleri neighborhood).This measure is included within those taken by the Ministry of Development and Infrastructure within Stage 1 of the Regional Public Transport Restoration Plan, which is characterized by an automatic reinforcement of buses in the metropolitan areas of Murcia and Cartagena, as well as the reactivation of intercity lines or increase of services at the request of municipalities, appealing to their responsibility in containing the pandemic.Restoration of intercity busesFrom next week the intercity lines of Puerto Lumbreras-Lorca (by El Esparragal), Lorca-Almendricos-Puerto Lumbreras and Jumilla-Yecla are also restored.In addition, the expeditions between Murcia-Cartagena have doubled, going from six to 12, and the expeditions of the already active lines of Yecla-Jumilla-Murcia and Murcia-Jumilla-Yecla have increased.
