The City Council is already working on the necessary reforms of the El Paretón-Cantareros Medical Office to enable its reopening (12/05/2020)

The Totana City Council has been working since this week in carrying out the necessary reform works in the El Paretón-Cantareros Medical Clinic in order to enable its reopening, after the Ministry of Health decreed its closure at the start of the crisis for different reasons of management and protection of health personnel and the users of the councils they serve.In fact, the mayor, Juan José Cánovas, accompanied by the councilor for Works and Infrastructures, Pedro José Sánchez, and the mayoral mayor, Antonia Camacho, together with municipal technicians visited this infrastructure yesterday to assess the needs of this infrastructure under the legal requirements established by the health authorities following the pandemic by COVID-19.The municipal technicians took measures to carry out a needs study and respond with protection and security measures on health of both health workers and patients, which will be sent to the Ministry of Health for its consideration and approval to undertake such action.The Medical Office must be enabled for General Medicine and Pediatrics consultations, as until now; as well as an exclusive space for the COVID-19 area, as is already being carried out in all Primary Care centers.From the beginning of the coronavirus health crisis, patients from the districts of El Paretón-Cantareros and El Raiguero must go to the Totana Sur Health Center.
